Edible Landform Maps
The 4th grade classes made cookie landform maps and ate the Great Basin, Death Valley, the Continental Divide, the Rocky Mountains, the Appalachian Mountains and many more physical features during a social studies lesson. Blue icing and sprinkles were used on the maps to represent oceans, lakes, and rivers. Green icing and green sprinkles dotted the map to show the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plains as well as the Great Plains. Each student worked hard to create the perfect map. Thanks to all the parents that sent items for our fun social studies lesson. We especially thank the moms that baked the delicious chocolate chip cookies.
